PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fishing rod retainer that can easily adjust the direction and angle of a fishing rod, and can continue using with a stable posture even if fish species for fishing are different.SOLUTION: A first adjusting mechanism 10 for adjusting a turning angle of a base 2 is provided between an anchor 1 and the base 2. A second adjusting mechanism 20 for adjusting a rocking angle of a stand 3 is provided between the base 2 and the stand 3. Auxiliary legs 4a, 4b for dispersing a load applied on the anchor 1 are detachably provided to the base 2. A third adjusting mechanism 30 for adjusting the effective length and/or angle of the auxiliary legs 4a, 4b according to a postural change of the base 2 and/or the postural change of the stand 3 is provided to the base 2.
