PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a back raising mechanism and a nursing bed, which can raise and lower side plate parts with a simple structure and can achieve down-sizing and weight saving.SOLUTION: A back raising mechanism comprises: a backrest part 21 which is rotatably provided in a floor plate body part 4 and can be raised and lowered with respect to the floor plate body part 4 side plate parts 23 which are rotatably provided in the backrest part 21 and can be raised and lowered with respect to the backrest part 21 operation arms 32 provided in the side plate parts 23 and a cam bar 14 provided in a floor plate body part 4, with which the operation arms 32 come into contact when at least the backrest part 21 is turned from a lowered state to a raised state.
