1. A composition for topical skin application containing particles that include: a) a biodegradable polymer, b) a compound of the formula: wherein X is S, O or —N (R) -, where R is hydrogen or lower alkyl； R is hydrogen or lower alkyl； A is pyridinyl, thienyl, furyl, pyridazinyl, pyrimidinyl or pyrazinyl； n is in the range 0-2； B is selected from the group consisting of: H, —COOH or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt, ester or amide of the specified —COOH group, -CHOH or an ester or ester derivative is indicated noy-CHO group, —CHO or an acetal derivative of said —CHO group and —COR or a ketal derivative of said —COR group, where R is - (CH) CH, where m is in the range of 0-4； and wherein the particles have an average diameter in the range of from about 0.1 μm to about 10 μm. 2. The composition according to claim 1, characterized in that the particles have an average diameter of not more than about 5 microns. The composition according to claim 1, characterized in that the particles have an average diameter of not more than about 4 microns. The composition according to claim 1, characterized in that the particles have an average diameter of not more than approximately 1 μm. The composition according to claim 1, characterized in that the biodegradable polymer is selected from the group consisting of polyhydroxyaliphatic carboxylic acids, polyesters, polysaccharides, and combinations thereof. The composition according to claim 1, characterized in that the biodegradable polymer is a copolymer of (lactic and glycolic acid) (PMHC). The composition according to claim 1, characterized in that the particles are spheres. The composition according to claim 1, characterized in that the particles are cylinders.
