<；P>；PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a split fiber nonwoven fabric having good handleability (operability) and moisture absorption and high yield, and suitable as an agricultural coating material and versatile greening materials such as lawn curing material for golf links, race tracks and athletic grounds, and building and civil engineering materials, etc. <；P>；SOLUTION: The split fiber nonwoven fabric has a double-layer laminated structure produced by using (A) a split fiber web made of an ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer and (B) a split fiber web made of a polyvinyl alcohol or a split fiber web made of an ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer, and perpendicularly laminating the fiber webs in longitudinal and lateral directions interposing an adhesive layer.
