There is provided a composition comprising at least one oxidant and at least one photoactivator capable of activating the oxidant for use in treatment of a skin condition by a method comprising (a) topically applying the composition on a patient's skin condition, and (b) treating said skin condition to actinic light for a time sufficient for said photoactivator to cause oxidation of said oxidant. The composition may further comprise one or more of a healing factor, a hydrophilic gelling agent, a chelating agent, a lipolysis stimulating factor and an additional photoactivator.
