The present invention is related to compositions comprising the combination of cephalosporin selected from the group consisting of generation 1st generation, 2nd generation, 4th generation and 5th generation cephalosporin, specifically the 1st generation or the 2nd generation cephalosporin with beta-lactamase inhibitor, especially, clavulanate or sulbactam and it showed synergistic antibacterial effect on the antibiotic resistant bacteria compared with the sole treatment, therefore, it can be used as the effective and safe therapeutics for treating and preventing bacterial infection caused by multi-drug resistance (MDR).본 발명은 기존 세파계 항생제, 특히 제 2세대 및 제 2세대 세파계 항생제와 베타-락타마제 억제제, 특히 클라불란산(clavulanate) 또는 설박탐(sulbactam)을 배합한 복합항생제가 기존 세파계 항생제를 단독처리한 항균활성보다 탁월한 약제 내성균 억제효과를 나타냄을 확인하여, 기존 세파계 항생제 및 베타-락타마제 (β-lactamase) 억제제로 배합된 배합물을 유효성분으로 함유하는 약제 내성 균주에 기인한 감염증의 치료 및 예방을 위한 복합항생제 조성물을 제공한다.
