PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an anti-dermatopathy agent which suppresses or improves at least one dermatopathy of unusual accumulation of an extra-cellular matrix component, collagen crosslinking formation, wrinkle formation, pachismus, sclerema and the like caused by exposure to ultraviolet rays, and to provide a skin care preparation for external use comprising the same as an effective ingredient.
SOLUTION: The anti-dermatopathy agent comprises as the effective ingredient a polar solvent extract of Hippophae rhamnoides L. of the genus Hippophae belonging to the family Elaeagnaceae. The skin care preparation comprises the same.
