SOLUTION: The endoscope 5 includes a narrow long insertion portion 2 and the curved portion 2w provided at the insertion portion 2, the curved portion freely curved in a plurality of directions in order to orient the tip of the insertion portion 2 in an insertion/removal direction Q. In the endoscope, an air tube 20 for supplying air to the examined region is provided at the outer periphery of the insertion portion 2 in the insertion/removal direction Q so as to be freely slid in the direction Q.
