The device according to claim 1, characterized in that said coating has an integral surface covering the entire surface of said wire element. The device according to claim 3, characterized in that said coating of tantalum pentoxide is made by vacuum-plasma spraying. The device according to claim 1, characterized in that said coating comprises polytetrafluoroethylene. The device according to claim 2, characterized in that said vascular stent is made of a section of a tube that has been given the appearance of a mesh. The device according to claim 2, characterized in that said vascular stent is made of at least one strand of wire, which is given the form of a mesh. The device according to claim 7, characterized in that the distance between each two adjacent mesh elements of said stent is less than 15 thicknesses of said elements, so that said stent provides a substantially uniform electrostatic field that prevents the aggregation of blood cells on said mesh elements.
