An infusion pump for a liquid medicament according to the invention comprises a receptacle 32 for a replaceable reservoir 1 of the liquid medicament. The reservoir has a plug 4 which, when the replaceable reservoir 1 is inside the reservoir receptacle 32, is pivotable relative to the infusion pump 33, from a first position where the reservoir is blocked inside. of the receptacle 32, at a second position where the reservoir can be removed from the reservoir receptacle 32. A magnet 42 is located on the plug 4, and a sensor 34 in the infusion pump 33 is designed to produce the magnetic field related signal detected. The magnet 42 and the sensor are placed so that the magnetic field detected when the plug 4 is in the first position is different from the magnetic field when the plug 4 is in the second position. There is provided a circuit connected to the sensor 34 for determining from the signal whether the tank 1 is in the first, locked, or second open position.
