593563 A carrier (11) for growing seaweed (18) in a body of water is disclosed. The carrier is a sheet with a surface structure that will retain spores and seeds. The sheet is provided with apertures (12) which allow the flow of water from one side to the other. The sheet also comprises a rim (14, 15) arranged on at least one side thereof, suitable for receiving a rope, or a reinforcement in a middle section of the carrier or a reinforcement in the form of an integrated net. The carrier further comprises suspension elements (16, 17) for suspension in a body of water.
