PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a factor for improving a cardiac function disturbance in an ischemic heat disease, in more detail to provide a substance for preventing the death of cardiac muscle cells in an ischemic heat disease on ischemia reperfusion, and to provide a method for utilizing the same.
SOLUTION: The inventors of the present invention has found that a skeletal muscle type lactate dehydrogenase (M-LDH) having been known as an enzyme acting in anaerobic glycolysis systems has a new effect which is "an effect for preventing the death of cardiac muscle cells" having not been known, and have thus reach the present invention.
