The present invention relates to a novel rice plant, a breeding method of the rice plant, and a processed food comprising rice produced from the rice plant, wherein the rice plant is produced by crossing a variety from Joryeong and a variety from Seolhyangchal which are one of varieties of a rice plant, and contains a large amount of iron and zinc. The rice plant of the present invention is capable of producing rice containing a large amount of iron and zinc, compared to rice produced by a conventional a rice plant variety, thereby being able to be widely applied for manufacturing functional food using rice.본 발명은 쌀 품종의 하나인 조령 품종과 설향찰 품종을 교배하여 제조되고, 철과 아연을 높은 함량으로 포함하는 신규한 벼, 상기 벼의 육종방법 및 상기 벼에서 생산된 쌀을 포함하는 가공식품에 관한 것이다. 본 발명의 벼는 종래의 벼 품종으로부터 생산되는 쌀에 비하여 철과 아연을 높은 함량으로 포함하는 쌀을 생산할 수 있으므로, 쌀을 이용한 기능성 식품의 제조에 널리 활용될 수 있을 것이다.
