SOLUTION: The electronic sphygmomanometer, to which a cuff for pressurizing a blood vessel is connected and detects a pulse wave component as a Korotkoff sound signal or an oscillometric signal. The electronic sphygmomanometer includes: a means for generating animation data 410 including characters 411 whose operation contents (511&rarr 601 and 602) are changed at a timing where the pulse wave component appears and whose operation amounts (601 and 602) of the changed operation contents are determined in response to the amplitude value of the detected pulse wave component and a means for outputting the generated animation data 410.
