An agricultural spreading machine has an infinitely-variable gear driving a shaft and a number of free-running discharge units, linked with the commensurate number of cams and pushrods against which they are pressed by springs. The free ends of the discharge unit have rollers running in a guide-rail groove. The guide-rail pivots on a bolt under control attached to a surrounding housing. The guide rail (16) is a two-armed lever. The guide-rail groove (15) swivels on bolts (17) along a path just outside that of the rollers (13). The rollers are on the pushrod (10) ends which rest on the other side (18) of the two-armed lever. The adjustment mechanism (20,25) touches against the other end (19) of the two-armed lever.
