The device i.e. computer (100) has a control module (M-CTRL) to scroll, at a negative scrolling speed (V-) or a positive scrolling speed (V+), a text (TXT) displayed on a screen (14) and intended to be read by an individual (IND). A signal detecting module (M-SIG) detects signals representative of activity of a predetermined area of brain of the individual. An interpretation module processes the signals, where the control module controls the scroll speed of the text in real time as a function of the result of the processing of the signals.
