PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerator in which a temperature therein is not increased even when an oxygen reduction device utilizing a polymer electrolyte membrane method is provided inside the refrigerator.SOLUTION: In an oxygen reduction device 102 using a polymer electrolyte membrane 116, an oxygen reduction unit 115 includes: an anode layer 118 provided at one side of the polymer electrolyte membrane 116 a cathode layer 120 that is provided at the other side of the polymer electrolyte membrane 116 and communicates with an oxygen reduction chamber 100 a positive-side collector 122 for energizing the anode layer 118 a negative-side collector 124 for energizing the cathode layer 120 and a water supply section provided at the anode layer 118 side. The oxygen reduction unit 115 is accommodated inside a case having heat insulation properties.
