An object of the present invention is to provide a composition that enables extension of the concentration range in which pyrroloquinoline quinone exerts cell growth-promoting function, and an efficient method of producing the composition. According to the present invention, there is provided a liposome composition comprising liposomes individually containing pyrroloquinoline quinone or a salt thereof and sugar, 50% or more of the liposomes having a particle diameter in the range of from 1 to 10 &mu；m, and a method of producing the composition.
