PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a subject in a body cavity to be imaged without causing optical deterioration by a relay lens.SOLUTION: An endoscope apparatus 100 includes illumination means 112 for illuminating a subject in a body cavity, an insertion part 110 having light guide means 113 and 114 for guiding the reflection light from the subject, a light source part 120 for emitting illumination light for illuminating the subject, and an imaging part 130 for receiving the reflection light guided by the light guide means and outputting an imaging signal of the subject. The light guide means includes an objective lens 113 disposed at the tip of the insertion part 110 for condensing the reflection light from the subject and emitting the light, and a hollow light guide area 114 arranged between the objective lens and the imaging part for guiding the reflection light emitted by the objective lens to the imaging part.
