The present invention provides An oral appliance for detecting acceleration experienced by a head of a wearer. The mouth-guard comprises a body comprising a formation for extending around at least a portion of at least one of maxillary and mandibular teeth of a wearer and configured for location against at least a portion of at least one of maxillary and mandibular teeth at least at one of: an anterior teeth region of a mouth of the wearer； a posterior teeth region of a mouth of the wearer； and a position between the anterior and posterior teeth regions of a mouth of the wearer.
