PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a collagen material covalently bound to particles, which results in a material that is more resistant to degradation such as collagenase degradation and that can be used in a wide range of applications.SOLUTION: Provided is an injectable or transplantable composition comprising collagen covalently bound to particles, wherein covalent amide bonds are formed between free carboxylic acid groups of the collagen and amine reactive groups of the particles, and wherein the particles have an average particle diameter size ranging from 20 to 1000 nanometers. Preferable is the composition wherein the particles have an average particle diameter between 50 and 150 nanometers.
