Provided herein are hemostaticcompositions. In one embodiment,the hemostatic composition includescross-linked polymer microspheres, such ascross-linked gelatin microspheres withpores. In another embodiment, the hemostaticcomposition comprises an additivesuch as a wetting agent, a suspendingagent, or both. The hemostatic compositionsmay also include a hemostatic agentsuch as thrombin, and may include a highconcentration of thrombin. The hemostaticcompositions may also include plasma.Also provided herein are devices fordispersing said hemostatic compositions in adiluent, and delivering said dispersedhemostatic composition. The hemostaticcompositions may also fabricated with aselected geometry as administrationsuggests.
