PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a position search system and a position search method for searching a position of a magnetic substance.SOLUTION: The position search system comprises a magnetic field source for generating a magnetic field and at least one magnetic sensor capable of detecting a change in the magnetic flux density of the field. By moving the magnetic sensor together with the magnetic field source while applying the magnetic field in the region where the magnetic body can be present, the magnetic sensor is scanned to detect the change in the magnetic flux density.
