PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple method for changing an oral bacterial flora and an oral bacterial flora improving agent for not only reducing the total number of oral bacteria but also changing the oral bacterial flora to increase the ratio of commensal bacterial species and to reduce the ratio of harmful bacteria species, using a food ingredient as an agent to achieve high safety and having characteristics to improve effect of the agent for increasing selectivity for specific bacterial species.SOLUTION: When the inside of an oral cavity is exposed to a heated solution containing caffeine or the heated solution containing caffeine is passed through the inside of an oral cavity, the total number of bacteria inside the oral cavity is reduced, and simultaneously, the ratio of commensal bacterial species is increased while the ratio of harmful bacterial species is reduced.COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT【課題】 口腔の全細菌数を減少させるばかりでなく、口腔の常在の細菌種の割合を増やすとともに有害な細菌種の割合を減らすよう細菌叢を変化させることができ、又、食品成分を剤として使用することで安全性が高く、この剤の効果を高めるような性質を持ち、特定細菌種への選択性を高めることが可能な簡易な口腔の細菌叢を変化させる方法と口腔細菌叢改善剤提供すること。【解決手段】 カフェインを含有する加温された液で、口腔内を暴露、或いは口腔内に通過させ、口腔の全細菌数を減少させるばかりでなく、常在の細菌種の割合を増やし、有害な細菌種の割合を減らす。【選択図】 なし
