PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide methods of generating natural killer (NK) cells and dendritic cells (DCs).SOLUTION: The methods utilize human hemangioblasts as intermediate cells to generate natural killer (NK) cells and dendritic cells (DCs). In various embodiments, the methods do not require the use of stromal feeder layers. In various embodiments, the hemangioblasts can be differentiated from human embryonic stem cells (hESCs).
