PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an object support apparatus capable of reducing light leakage from between an opening of a support member into which an object is inserted and the object.SOLUTION: The object information acquisition apparatus comprises: a light source 210 a support member 110 for supporting a subject, an opening being formed in the support member, into which an object, a part of the subject, is inserted a detection part 220 for detecting acoustic waves generated from the object onto which light from the light source 210 is projected and converting the detected acoustic waves into electric signals and a processing part for acquiring characteristic information of the inside of the object on the basis of the electrical signals.
