The dressing is a moisture permeable support layer having a first main surface, a second main surface, a support layer peripheral portion, and a first opening, and an absorbent adhesive gel adhered to the second main surface of the support layer. In addition, an absorbent adhesive gel including an adhesive gel peripheral portion, and a porous layer having a first surface, a second surface, and a porous layer peripheral portion can be provided. The second major surface has a first adhesive thereon. The first surface of the porous layer is bonded to the absorbent adhesive gel. The porous layer is configured to facilitate passage of fluid into the first opening. 100% of the periphery of the adhesive gel overlaps with the support layer.
