PURPOSE: A fundus imaging apparatus is provided to convert a plurality of light sources by using not only miniature but also simple configuration.CONSTITUTION: A fundus imaging apparatus is composed of an illumination optical system(O1) and an observation/imaging optical system(O2). A light source unit(11) includes an infrared light emitting diode(11a) as an ultraviolet light source and a white light emitting diode(11b) as a visible light source. A light source drive motor M1 converts an LED facing the illumination optical system between the infrared light emitting diode and the white light emitting diode. A ring slit(12) is composed of a mask member adjusting illumination light from the light source unit to be a ring shaped illumination light. An illumination relay lens(15) images the ring illumination light in an eye to be examined(19). A split unit(14) comprises a focus index light source(14a) for projecting a focus index, a prism(14b) for partitioning a light source, and a focus index mask(14c) indicating an outer shape of the focus index.
