PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a guidewire with improved easiness to insert it into and pass it through, the site of blood vessel occlusion lesion by optimizing the form of its leading edge, and also with improved productivity.SOLUTION: The guidewire 1 includes a core shaft 2, a coil body 3 covering the distal end portion of the core shaft 2, and a most end portion 5 which is formed by joining the distal end of the coil body 3 and the core shaft 2 with metal solder.
