Apparatus for the fast angular orientation of a surgical instrument with respect to an implantation seat of a prosthesis in a patients bone, of the type comprising a moving sensor (16), which may be associated with said surgical instrument, and a fixes sensor ( 17), which may be integrally fastened to said bone during a surgical operation, said moving sensor (16) and said fixed sensor (17) being provided with position detection means and with signalling means of the detected position to a central memory and processing unit. Said central memory and processing unit comprises calibration means which detect the position of said moving sensor (16) when it is associated with a line passing through two known points of said bone and, simultaneously, they detect the position of said fixed sensor ( 17) when it is integrally fastened to said bone, and they record such position as initial work position.Linvention concerne un appareil pour lorientation angulaire rapide dun instrument chirurgical par rapport à un lit dimplantation dune prothèse dans los dun patient, du type comprenant un capteur mobile (16), qui peut être associé audit instrument chirurgical, et un capteur fixe (17), qui peut être fixé dune seule pièce audit os pendant une opération chirurgicale, ledit capteur mobile (16) et ledit capteur fixe (17) comprenant un moyen de détection de position et un moyen de signalisation de la position détectée à une unité de mémoire et de traitement centrale. Ladite unité de mémoire et de traitement centrale comprend des moyens détalonnage qui détectent la position dudit capteur mobile (16) lorsquil est associé à une ligne passant à travers deux points connus dudit os, et qui, simultanément, détectent la position dudit capteur fixe (17) lorsquil est fixé dune seule pièce audit os, et qui enregistrent une telle position comme position de travail initiale.
