PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transport living fishes by converting highly toxic ammonia excreted by the fish to nontoxic nitrogen in transporting living fishes such as shrimp, lobster, horse mackerel, sea bream and squid in a container.SOLUTION: Toxicity of ammonia is neutralized through conversion to nontoxic nitrogen by putting a tablet or tablets D using calcium hypochlorite as a main raw material into the transport container A of the living fish C with seawater to dissolve the tablet(s) and chemically reacting calcium hypochlorite with highly toxic ammonia excreted by the living fish. Also, long-term transportation of the living fish C ranging from 72 hours to even 96 hours is brought to be possible by sealing about 90% of the surface of the tablet(s) D comprising calcium hypochlorite as the main raw material by using HPMCP, zein, shellac or another coating material, or a packaging material for vacuum packing or the like to suppress as much as possible dissolution of the tablet(s) D into the seawater by retarding the chemical reaction between ammonia and calcium hypochlorite.COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT【課題】海老、アジ、タイ、イカなどの活魚を容器に入れて輸送する際、活魚が排泄する毒性の強いアンモニアを無害な窒素に変えて活魚輸送を行う。
