The present invention relates to a health functional food composition for preventing or ameliorating non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) comprising as an active ingredient, (HepG2), which has been shown to be effective in reducing the accumulation of triglycerides. Therefore, the composition of the present invention can be usefully used for functional foods and medicines for prevention or improvement of nonalcoholic fatty liver.본 발명은 백편두 추출물을 유효성분으로 포함하는 비알콜성 지방간 질환(Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, NAFLD)의 예방 또는 개선용 건강기능식품 조성물에 관한 것으로, 본 발명의 유효성분인 백편두 추출물이 간암 세포주(HepG2)에서 중성지방의 축적을 효과적으로 감소시키는 효과가 있음을 확인하였다. 따라서 본 발명의 조성물은 비알콜성 지방간 예방 또는 개선용 기능성 식품 및 의약품에 유용하게 사용될 수 있다.
