PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a weed control material and its usage in which a cure period is short, initial strength development is high, a frost damage at early age and cracking resistivity are provided, the labor of mowing can be reduced, and thereby the persistence of weed control and environmental protection can be ensured.SOLUTION: (1) A weed control material contains cement, a calcium aluminate, a polymer for cement admixture and soil. (2) The weed control material of (1) further contains gypsum and/or antifoam. (3) The weed control material of (1) or (2) is provided in which the calcium aluminate CaO/Al2O3 has a molar ratio of 1.0-3 and impurities of 15 mass% or less. (4) The usage of the weed control material is provided for spreading any weed control material of (1)-(3) on the ground to water and coat thereon.
