A method for creating a color scale in which the number of times of mastication by individuals with healthy teeth and jaw and the color difference of the color developed by the gum after mastication are determined by having a plurality of individuals with healthy teeth and jaw masticate a color-changeable chewing gum to determine a regression equation of the color developed by the gum after mastication and the color difference of gums before and after mastication and further determining a regression equation of the number of times of mastication and the color difference of gums before and after mastication.本發明係提供一種供針對伴隨有健康齒顎者的咀嚼進行之口香糖的變色特性進行分析,而使用在藉由變色口香糖所為之咀嚼力評估所用之可作為更為客觀的判定基準來加以使用的比色表的作成方法。本發明係使複數位有健康齒顎者咀嚼變色口香糖,求出咀嚼後的口香糖所呈現的顏色與咀嚼前後的口香糖的色差的回歸式,另外求出咀嚼次數與咀嚼前後的口香糖的色差的回歸式,藉此求出有健康齒顎者的咀嚼次數與咀嚼後的口香糖所呈現的顏色的色差,來作成比色表的方法。
