PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blood pressure measuring device allowing a user to easily wear a cuff at an accurate position.SOLUTION: A sphygmomanometer is provided with an angle sensor 14 on the cuff to detect an angle formed by an air bag 13. The sphygmomanometer defines a straight line formed by connecting the artery to the angle sensor 14, when the angle sensor 14 located at a substantially central position of the air bag 13 is positioned immediately above the artery, as a reference, and determines whether an angle &theta1 formed between a straight line which connects the artery to the angle sensor 14 and the reference is within a threshold or not. The determination is made before measuring the blood pressure and is displayed.
