The present invention relates to a surgical needle which is capped with a safety cap to prevent the surgical needle from being exposed to the outside. More particularly, the surgical needle includes: an insertion needle unit which is formed in a sharp shape to make an upper end portion be inserted into an object； a grip body unit which has a one side of an upper end portion joined to a lower end portion of the insertion needle unit； and the safety cap unit which is a soft cap with a structure having an open lower end portion and a partially open or closed upper end portion, has one side of the lower end portion joined to one side of the upper end portion of the grip body unit, and contains the insertion needle unit therein. The upper end portion of the insertion needle unit passes through the upper end portion of the safety cap unit and comes in contact with the object. According to the present invention, the surgical needle is not contaminated with pathogens and can be maintained to be clean all the time as the safety cap covers the surgical needle all the time to prevent the surgical needle from being exposed to the outside. In addition, the safety cap for covering the surgical needle is made of an elastic material and thus enables a user to perform treatment without separating the safety cap from the surgical needle. Therefore, the user does not need to separate a cap for treatment, cover the cap again, and dispose of a needle with the cap as done with an existing surgical needle with a cap. Consequently, secondary infection, caused when a person is got pricked by a surgical needle as a cap is lost, can be prevented.
