A method and system for identifying a phenomenon/disorder in an entity/system are disclosed. The method includes receiving and processing at least one subset of m≥3 signals a plurality of n signals acquired from distinct regions of the system and determine a connectivity network model of the m regions by which the phenomenon/disorder can be identified. According to a prominent aspect the connectivity network model is a high order model determined by: (i) determining low order functional connectivity (FC) networks of the m regions, with order O = 1 and (ii) utilizing the low order functional connectivity (FC) networks to determine a higher order O→ O+1 FC network model, by determining coherent relationships of one or more of the lower order FC networks of with others of the FC networks or another of the m signals. The coherent relationships coherent relationships of lower order FC subnetworks with other lower order FC sub-networks or with another signals are indicative of a FC sub-networks of higher order. In another a prominent aspect the method includes processing the connectivity networks of a plurality of different subset of m≥3 regions of the m regions for determining one or more regions being the source regions of the phenomena/disorder.Linvention concerne un procédé et un système pour lidentification dun phénomène/trouble dans une entité/un système.
