PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide deodorant polyurethane foam capable of oxidizing and decomposing volatile organic compounds (VOC) contained in raw materials, VOC generated in reaction and foaming and VOC in use to detoxify and capable of exerting performances for a long term.
SOLUTION: The deodorant polyurethane foam is obtained by reacting and foaming a raw material of polyurethane foam, comprising a polyol, a polyisocyanate, a catalyst, a foaming agent, and a deodorant compound. In that case, the deodorant compound oxidizes and decomposes VOC such as aldehyde and is oxidized itself and, after oxidation and decomposition, is reduced itself with moisture to the original deodorant compound, wherein, the content of the deodorant compound is set to be 0.003-0.110 pts.mass per 100 pts.mass polyol. The deodorant compound is preferably ferrous compounds such as ferrous sulfate or silver compounds such as silver oxide.
