PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a deodorant exhibiting a high deodorizing function against malodorous substances such as hydrogen sulfide and ammonia, especially aldehydes. A deodorant composition containing at least one selected from diatomaceous earth, calcium silicate, basic silicon oxide, and activated clay, and an amino-modified silicone, which is a building interior material such as wallpaper, floor material, or ceiling material. When processed into, it exhibits a high deodorizing function against malodorous substances such as hydrogen sulfide and ammonia, especially aldehydes. Further, it is possible to provide a building interior material having the above deodorant function and a method for producing a deodorant wallpaper by processing the above deodorant composition.
