PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a plant embryo excellent in terms 8 nutritional physiology, high in content of minerals, vitamins, etc., by culturing the plant embryo in the solution of electrolytes for enriching the electrolytes in the plant embryo. SOLUTION: This plant embryo rich in electrolytes is obtained by introducing seeds capable of germinating into the solution of electrolytes, having an increased ion concentration and culturing the plant embryo at a suitable temperature for a sufficient time capable of enriching the electrolytes in the plant embryo. The loss of the electrolytes developed during the process of the germination is compensated, minerals in the plant embryo become high concentrations, the contents of vitamins, etc., become high and the plant embryo having higher electrolyte concentrations than those in the plant embryo germinated in a tap water is obtained.
