Injection pen comprising a pen cap (1) for enclosing a cartridge holder (2) of the injection pen whereby the pen cap comprises a cylindrical wall section (1c) connecting an opening (1e) at the proximal end for inserting the cartridge holder (2) with a distal end wall (1 b) for closing the pen cap. The pen cap comprises furthermore a cylindrical wall section (1c) made from a first material (11) and the cap is characterized in that the distal end wall (1b) comprises a second material (12) reinforcing the distal end wall (1b) and preventing needle stitching through the distal end wall (1b).
