A cosmetic composition is provided which includes a silicone elastomer, a cationic copolymer with monomeric units selected from at least an acryloylethyl tri(C1-C3 alkyl)ammonium salt and light reflecting platelet shaped particles. The compositions are particularly useful to impart radiance as well as soft focus effects onto the skin. A particularly useful cationic copolymer is acrylamide/acryloylethyl trimethylammonium chloride/tris(hydroxymethyl) acrylamidomethane copolymer.
