A medicament for prophylactic and/or therapeutic treating arteriosclerosis, hypertention, heart diseases, kidney diseases, or cerebral vessel diseases, which contains: (A) an inhibitor of angiotensin II receptor(such as olmesartan ． medoxomil etc.) selected from a group consisting compounds of the formula (I), and the pharmaceutically acceptable esters and the pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof, and (B)calcium antagonist(such as azelunidipine etc.) selected from a group consisting 1,4-dihydropyridine compounds and the pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof.預防及/或治療動脈硬化、高血壓症、心臓疾病、腎臓疾病、或腦血管性疾病之醫藥，內含有效成分為下述成分：(A)選自如下式(I)：；(I)；化合物及其藥理容許酯，及藥理容許鹽之血管緊縮素II受體拮抗劑(例如美撒旦．美多奇索米(olmesartan．medoxomil)等)；及(B)選自1,4-二氫吡啶系化合物及藥理容許鹽之鈣拮抗劑(例如阿折地平(azelnidipine)等)。
