To highly accurately determine the direction of a subject in an elongate image acquired by lengthwise image capturing using a plurality of radiation detection devices.SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus acquires a plurality of radiographic images generated by detecting radiation projected onto a subject with a plurality of radiation detection devices and combines the plurality of radiographic images to generate an elongate image.
