Effervescent tablets formulations of fertilizers, pesticides, micronutrients, plant growth promoters and organic manures are prepared individually or in various combinations for use in agriculture. The inventive product is effervescent in nature and therefore immediately dissolves in water, without the need of stirring unlike other agricultural inputs. The inventive product is in tablet formulation and therefore no solvents or emulsifiers are required, making it more environmental friendly as compared to the various formulations in the market. Being highly concentrated the said product is required in less quantity as compared to traditional agricultural inputs, thereby considerably reducing the cost of storage, transportation and handling. Offering a precise dose of active ingredients is one of the most important feature of this inventive product. The inventive product consists of at least one active ingredient or a combination of active ingredients that are mixed with at least one or more acids, carbonates, bicarbonates, lubricants, binders, gliding agents and colours. These ingredients are processed by using either wet granulation, dry granulation or direct compression methods in a controlled environment where temperature and relative humidity is maintained. The tablets thus prepared, rapidly disintegrate in water and this solution can be applied to plants by foliar application, drip irrigation or by directly broad casting the tablets in the field.
