The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition for treating drug addiction comprising herb Gelsemium elegans Benth. and the flower of herb Datura metel L., and optionally any pharmaceutically acceptable excipient, wherein the weight/weight ratio of the raw material of Gelsemium elegans Benth. to the raw material of the flower of Datura metel L. is from 2:1 to 6:1.
