The present invention relates to the use of the compounds of formula I for the treatment of pigmentation, in particular of epidermal cells, for regeneration, maintenance of nerve distribution, restoration of skin perfusion or normal pigmentation, against aging or for controlling pigmentation irrelevant or related to skin aging (MC-1R, MC-2R and mu opiate receptors) that modulate the proliferation and differentiation of POMC gene products and possibly control the expression of POMC in skin cells .
