The present invention relates to improved contact lens products which not onlyhave initial insertion comfort butalso are comfortable to wear for more than about 6 hours. The invention isachieved by packaging and storing a hydrogel lens withtwo or more leachable polymeric lubricants incorporated therein in arelatively viscous packaging solution including a relatively lowmolecular weight polyethylene glycol (PEG) and a viscosity-enhancinghydrophilic polymer. The present invention also providesmethods for making contact lens products of the invention.
