Double cutter with contrary rotating reciprocating action - comprises two sets of differently formed blades and one set cuts straw and other trims hedges
The double cutter has a contrary rotating reciprocating upper and lower mowing blade for cutting long stemmed crops or hedges and bushes, and for cutting pressed bales of fodder. A part (8) of the blade (7) on an upper and lower cutter (2,3) is shaped to a point (9) whose flanks (10) diverge downwards at an angle of 90 deg. to a width (11) approx. to 22 percent of the centre distance (12). The flanks of the blade (7) from this point (11) further diverge at an angle of about 38 deg. Both flanks (10,16) have a cutting bevel of about 24 deg. These blades are for rough fodder cutting. Other blades are differently shaped and dimensioned for hedge or bush trimming. USE/ADVANTAGE - Double reciprocating cutter. Two sets of blades differently formed to cope with different requirements.
