Method for topical protection, advantageously on the skin and / or mucous membrane and / or integuments, against atmospheric polluting molecules and ultraviolet (UV) radiation, comprising the steps of: a) forming on the skin and / or mucous membranes and / or integuments a repellent and anti-adhesive polymer matrix with respect to atmospheric polluting molecules, by means of a first biocompatible polymer (PB1); b) degrading by photocatalysis under the effect of UV radiation the polluting molecules having penetrated into the polymer matrix by means of first colloid semiconductors grafted (Col-1) covalently with a second biocompatible polymer (PB2) different from the first polymer biocompatible (PB1), resulting in fact in the formation of free radicals; c) neutralize said free radicals by means of at least 2 antioxidants respectively: - a first antioxidant in the form of second semiconductor colloids (Col-2) grafted covanlent with said first antioxidant (AntiOx-1); the second grafted colloids (Col-2) self-regenerating under the action of UV radiation by the following mechanism: • regeneration of the first antioxidant AntiOx-1) by electron transfer from the second colloids (Col-2) to said first antioxidant (AntiOx-1), • regeneration of second colloids (Col-2) by exposure to UV radiation, - a second antioxidant agent (AntiOx-2) not in the form of colloids grafted with an antioxidant; d) stabilize the polymer matrix by means of the second antioxidant agent (AntiOx-2).
